On this week’s podcast, we talk about the episodes of Coronation Street broadcast in the UK between the 22nd and the 26th April (although somehow we manage to start the show saying it’s August!). Peter and Carla are in the foreground this week, as they struggle to save the ailing bookies. Meanwhile, all bets are off regarding Gary’s true intentions towards Tina, as he does his best to scupper any chance of a reunion between her and Tommy. In the classic character profile section, we take a look at Toyah Battersby, who went from neighbour from Hell to eco-warrior to barmaid, and even enjoyed a brief spell as a post-modern artist! Finally, we weigh up Corrie’s chances in this year’s British Soap Awards, before looking through this week’s feedback.
